Websites and table booking for restaurants and cafés
Agilido builds websites and online table booking for restaurants, cafés and bars. You maintain the menu and opening hours yourself, guests book without calling, and your Google Business Profile shows what is current.
Sound familiar?
If you recognise yourself in any of these, a conversation is worth having.
- Bookings come in by phone, exactly when service is busiest.
- The menu on your website is last year’s PDF, and on a phone you have to zoom.
- Google shows the wrong opening hours, and guests stand in front of a locked door.
- Guests ask about allergens on every visit because the information is nowhere to be found.
What matters
The menu as text, not a PDF
A menu as text is readable on a phone, found by Google and read out by screen readers. You change dishes and prices in the CMS in a few minutes, from your phone as well.
Allergens
You have to inform your guests about the 14 main allergens. If you take orders online, the information must be shown before the order is completed. For a plain menu, showing it online is voluntary but saves questions during service.
The Google profile
For many guests the Google Business Profile is the first port of call, even before the website. With our care package we update it monthly, such as holiday opening hours, photos and description.
Example: what table booking for a restaurant can look like
A typical flow, not a client project. We adapt the rules to your business.
-
The guest chooses date, time and party size and sees straight away whether a table is free.
-
Your rules apply automatically: closing days, fixed time slots, larger groups on request only.
-
They get a confirmation and, the day before, a reminder with a link to cancel.
-
If they cancel, the table can be booked again immediately.
-
In the restaurant you see all of the evening’s bookings on a tablet.
Restaurants and cafés: frequently asked questions
Not necessarily. Booking portals are set up quickly and sometimes bring new guests, but they charge monthly fees or a fee per guest and put themselves between you and your regulars. A system of your own pays off if you have many regulars, need your own rules, such as fixed time slots or groups on request only, or if the fees cost more over time than a one-off solution. In the initial consultation we work this through for your business.
You maintain the menu, opening hours and specials yourself in your website’s CMS, without technical knowledge and from your phone as well. A change takes a few minutes and is live immediately. The Google Business Profile is a second place that easily goes out of date: with our care package we update it monthly for you, such as holiday opening hours. That way the website and Google show the same information.
That depends on whether guests can order online. You generally have to inform guests about the 14 main allergens. If you accept orders online, the information has to be visible before the order is completed. For a plain menu without ordering, listing them online is voluntary. It is still worth it, because it saves questions during service and makes the choice easier for guests with allergies. If in doubt, the DEHOGA hospitality association or your chamber of commerce confirms the exact duties.
